8 And Saul was once consenting unto his loss of life. And at the moment there used to be a great persecution in opposition to the church which was once at Jerusalem; and so they had been all scattered out of the country right through the areas of Judaea and Samaria, aside from the apostles.

2 And religious males carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into each and every house, and haling women and men committed them to jail.

4 Therefore they that were scattered in another country went each where preaching the word.

5 Then Philip went right down to town of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, got here out of many who have been possessed with them: and plenty of inquisitive about palsies, and that have been lame, were healed.

8 And there was nice joy in that town.

9 But there was once a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the similar city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was once some nice one:

10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the best, pronouncing, This guy is the good energy of God.

11 And to him that they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

12 But once they believed Philip preaching the issues in regards to the kingdom of God, and the title of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

13 Then Simon himself believed additionally: and when he was once baptized, he persevered with Philip, and puzzled, beholding the miracles and signs which were performed.

14 Now when the apostles which have been at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the phrase of God, they despatched unto them Peter and John:

15 Who, after they were come down, prayed for them, that they may obtain the Holy Ghost:

19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay fingers, he would possibly receive the Holy Ghost.

20 But Peter stated unto him, Thy money perish with thee, as a result of thou hast idea that the gift of God may be purchased with cash.

21 Thou hast neither phase nor lot on this subject: for thy heart is not proper in the sight of God.

22 Repent due to this fact of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if possibly the thought of thine heart is also forgiven thee.

23 For I understand that thou artwork in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

24 Then spoke back Simon, and stated, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken stumble upon me.

25 And they, once they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and cross toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is wilderness.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of (*8*), an eunuch of significant authority underneath Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the price of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot learn Esaias the prophet.

29 Then the Spirit mentioned unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him learn the prophet Esaias, and mentioned, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he stated, How can I, excluding some guy should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and take a seat with him.

32 The position of the scripture which he read was once this, He was once led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb sooner than his shearer, so opened he now not his mouth:

33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall claim his generation? for his lifestyles is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch spoke back Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some different man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began on the similar scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their method, they got here unto a definite water: and the eunuch mentioned, See, this is water; what doth obstruct me to be baptized?

37 And Philip stated, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and mentioned, I consider that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down each into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch noticed him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was once found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, until he got here to Caesarea.
